County Local Partnerships
Summary
The legislation authorizes CDSS in consultation with the RBS Reform Coalition to select four counties or consortia of counties to participate in developing and operationalizing the new approach to residentially-based services. Two of the four slots are reserved for the counties that are currently implementing Title IV-E Child Welfare Waiver Capped Allocation Demonstration Project (Alameda and Los Angeles), if they wish to participate. Any California county can fill the remaining slots including those not filled by the waiver counties. Any child welfare or probation agency may submit a letter of intent. However, only one letter of intent will be selected from one county or consortia of counties. All applicants will be notified of the results of the selection process during the first week of May.
