The two-day GCxGC Data Handling course mixes 50% presentations with 50% practical exercises using the powerful Zoex GCImage software to get a good grasp of it's capabilities in analysing previously acquired GCxGC data.
The course briefly introduces the fundamental theory of comprehensive multi-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC) using thermal or flow modulation, highlighting its advantages. The course then moves on to give an overview of GCImage software and details its fundamental operation including baseline removal and peak (blob) detection. The course undertakes detailed qualitative and quantitative data analysis including chemical identification, basic process of integration, setting up calibration and creation of suitable reports. The course also discusses image processing and analysis, followed by pattern recognition.
The course completes with an introduction to GC Project and GC Image Investigator software.
At the end of the 2 days, the delegates will have gained the knowledge and experience of operating the GCImage software for data extraction, manipulation & reporting.
Includes: lunch and refreshments; hardcopy of the training manual in colour; certificate of attendance; ability to discuss own problems.
This course can be taught both onsite and offsite, as well as through attending scheduled courses.
This course is for someone experienced in gas chromatography or GC-MS and with some knowledge of GCxGC. Those without any knowledge of GCxGC should attend the 2-day GCxGC Operator course first.
