In the UK and Ireland we have 35 Local Sections working to support our members and the wider community in their area.

Our Local Sections are each run by a committee of volunteers who help direct the annual programme of events. These events include; scientific lectures, public lectures, networking events, schools activities and social events.

The aims and objectives of the Mid-Southern Counties Section are primarily those set out in the "Common Objects of RSC Sections". However, considering the large, mainly rural area of the Section, a further prime objective is to attempt to bring the membership - both active and retired - into a coherent grouping through a full and varied programme of technical, scientific and social events.
